I like Jonathan Chapman’s work a lot. He’s got a great eye and technically, his lighting is spot on. Here’s a bit of his photo/video/journalism work he’d done. He teams up with other folks, notably eighthourday, to create photo/video vignettes. I think this is what I want to explore a little more, and I was inspired by what he’s done. Enjoy.
